Project Bread’s 55th Annual Hunger Walk Returns

Get ready, Massachusetts! One of the state’s most cherished events is making a comeback. Project Bread’s | The Walk for Hunger, a beloved day of community action against hunger, is calling for participants to join on a brand new 3 mile route. After a hiatus since 2019, this in-person fundraising extravaganza is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 7 at the iconic Boston Common. The event promises an engaging experience for the whole family, with exciting activities lined up along the 3-mile loop.

The Walk for Hunger is more than just a walk—it’s a vital fundraiser that supports Project Bread‘s tireless efforts in raising awareness about food insecurity and expanding food access for individuals of all ages throughout Massachusetts. Celebrating its 55th year, Project Bread aims to rally the community and surpass the $1 million mark in funds raised. These crucial resources will fuel food assistance programs and sustainable policy solutions.

Like-minded organizations dedicated to fighting hunger can team up with Project Bread through their co-fundraising program, The Commonwealth. By joining forces, these organizations can raise funds to support their own initiatives while contributing to the broader statewide effort to combat hunger.

If you’re ready to make a difference, registration for the event is now open. Participants can visit The Walk for Hunger 2023 or contact (617) 723-5000 to register, create their personal or team fundraising pages, and make donations. It’s time to lace up those walking shoes, come together as a community, and take strides towards a hunger-free Massachusetts.
