Price Chopper | Market 32 Kicks Off Initiative to Aid Regional Food Banks

Price Chopper/Market 32 has launched a campaign called “Fill A Glass with Hope/ Fill a Plate with Promise” in collaboration with the Northeast American Dairy Association, Garelick Farms, and local food banks. The two-month-long campaign aims to provide local food banks with the necessary resources to purchase milk and other nutritious foods for the families they serve. Customers can participate by rounding up their totals at the register.

During the summer, when school is out, more than 22 million children lose access to free or reduced-price meal programs. For many children in need, essential items like milk, which provides important nutrients like protein, are often missing. Participating in this campaign will help ensure that milk and other food items reach those who need them the most.

Mona Golub, Price Chopper/Market 32’s vice president of public relations and consumer services, commended the American Dairy Association for its efforts to bring fresh milk to those in need. Milk is one of the most requested items at food banks, yet it is rarely donated. The American Dairy Association works diligently to raise funds through grants, individual donors, and corporate sponsors to support local communities and provide milk and essential nutrition to families with children in need.
